A single-storey home with fluid spaces shaped around the family’s daily life.
On one level
The family wanted to live without stairs and in direct contact with the garden. The house unfolds on a single level that wraps around the pool and the porch.
The hollow wall
A large natural-stone wall, pierced by a circular opening, protects the home’s privacy and frames the landscape. It is the gesture that gives the project its name.
Light, colour and form
Controlling light, colour and form. A cantilevered flat roof casts deep shade in summer and lets the low winter sun reach the living room.
